Second Covid booster dose
A second booster vaccine is now recommended for some people who are at higher risk from serious COVID-19 illness.
It is recommended that you should get a second booster if you are:
- 65 years or older, or for those with an immunocompromised status
How long to wait before getting a second booster
You can get your second booster at least 4 months (at least 120 days) after your first booster. You can check the date of your first booster on your digital COVID cert.
If you have had COVID-19 since your first booster, wait at least 4 months after you tested positive or from when your symptoms started.
Booking an appointment with Sutton Cross Surgery
We will hold a series of booster clinics for those age 65 and older at Sutton Cross Surgery. Check to see if you are eligible and then call us to make an appointment. It will be easier to get through to us in the afternoon as morning is a busy time for general calls.
Those who are immunocompromised should make an appointment via the HSE clinics centres.
Welcome to Sutton Cross Surgery
Sutton Cross Surgery has been serving the community in Sutton for over 40 years. Founded by Dr John Kelly, the practice has grown to four full-time doctors who have specialist knowledge in many areas of medical practice alongside our practice nurses.
Dr Nicola Gilliland joined Dr John Kelly and offers services in the areas of women’s health and child and maternity services. Next to join was Dr John Allman. Dr Allman has a special interest in nutrition as well as dermatology and minor surgery. Recently Dr Caroline O’Connor became a partner in the practice and specialises in general women’s health.
Nurse Liz has been with us now for over ten years. A winner of the practice nurse of the year in 2016. She looks after our patients from childhood immunisations to our older patients with chronic disease management.
